Top 12 Ways to Fix Improve Location Accuracy Pop-Up in Android

Navigation apps are a boon for travelers. It shows you the way forward, no matter where you are. There are some users who are annoyed with the message ‘Improve location accuracy?’ pop-ups for days. And, clicking the Agree button does not help in this situation.

That makes it difficult to use the GPS feature and can also be annoying. How many times do you have to allow? Let’s see how we can solve this Android pop-up error quickly.

1. Turn GPS and Cellular Data Off and Back on

This trick can sometimes work like a charm. Open the notification center to find the GPS and mobile data toggles. Tap both once to turn them off, wait a few seconds before turning them back on.

Open Settings and tap About phone then System update.

You should be able to see any new updates available there. Things may vary depending on your OEM and user interface.

5. GPS Accuracy Settings

GPS is set to Battery Saver mode by default. This setting gives you the best of both worlds, however, can lead to GPS-related issues like the Improved Location Accuracy popup. Open Notification Center and long press on the GPS icon to open GPS settings.

Select High Accuracy Mode here to improve location detection and get rid of that annoying pop-up. 9. Google Play Services

Some apps rely on Google Play Services to work on your Android smartphone. Repeat the above steps again and clear Google Play Services cache and data this time.

Now tap on Force stop and restart your phone after about 10 minutes. Now enable GPS and you will see several pop-ups from different apps asking for location permission. Tap any pop-up to update the Play Services app and enable it. You’ll also see the Improve Location Accuracy pop-up out of all the pop-ups. Make sure to tap the Agree option.

If deleting old data doesn’t work, reinstall the navigation app from the Play Store. The reason why I recommend uninstalling apps after clearing cache data is because it leads to a clean install. Otherwise, the app will reuse the old data on your smartphone upon reinstallation.
