2. Operation status is off
Next, if a user has turned off their active status, you won’t be able to see when they were “Last Active” on Instagram.
If a user has turned off their active status on Instagram, you won’t be able to see it.
Instagram has a feature where you can turn off your active status.
You can access that feature by navigating to profile > menu > settings > privacy > active status > on/off.
When you turn off your active status, it is hidden from others.
However, you will also not be able to see the activity status of other users.
Therefore, if someone turns off their active status, the “Last Active” status will not show up under their username.
3. The person who blocked you
If someone blocks you on Instagram, their activity status won’t be visible to you.
You will not be able to see the activity status of the user who blocked you.
If someone blocks you on Instagram, a “User not found” error will be displayed when you visit their profile.
If you go to their profile, there will be a “User not found” error.
However, you should not immediately conclude that the person has blocked you because it most likely is not.
To see if someone has blocked you on Instagram, search for their username on Instagram.
If you can’t find their profile by searching for their exact username, they’ve blocked you.
You can confirm this by searching for their username with another account.
If you can find them with another account by searching for their username, they’ve blocked your main account.
In short, if you can still access the person’s profile, you’re not blocked.
4. That person restricts you
Finally, if someone restricts you, you won’t be able to tell when they were “Last Active” on Instagram.
In other words, you won’t be able to tell if the person is online or not.
If someone restricts you on Instagram, their activity status will be hidden from you.
Aside from the hidden active status, you won’t be able to tell if they’ve read your messages.
Also, if you comment on an image posted by someone who has restricted you, it will be paused.
They can choose to approve, delete, or ignore your comment.
It’s hard to tell if someone is restricting you on Instagram because it’s so different from blocking.
The only legal way to know if someone has restricted you on Instagram is to comment something on one of their posts.
Then use the secondary account to check if there are any comments.
If the comment is missing, that person has restricted you.
On the other hand, if the comment is displayed, the person has not restricted you.
