You can get lucky and find a blast core in a chest or a loot llama, but the main source of this rare crafting ingredient in LEGO Fortnite is blasters.
Blasters resemble rollers and are a type of enemy exclusive to the Dry Valley. You’ll only find blasters in caves and, more specifically, caves with lava flowing throughout.
To survive in the Dry Valley, you’ll need food and/or charms that offer resistance to high temperatures, so bring along some snowberries or cool-headed charms.
How to get blast cores

To get blast cores, you must defeat blasters. Like rollers, blasters hide in the dirt, but instead of a flower sticking out atop their shell, it’s a glowing stick of dynamite. When disturbed, blasters will, as their name suggests, chase you down and try to blow you up.
Blasters will throw their lives away to blow you to pieces, so there’s no point in trying to hit one with a sword or a recurve crossbow. Instead, run away and use your dodge ability to escape the vicinity before the blaster explodes. After it destroys itself, you can grab all the loot it drops, including the blast core.

The primary reason to stock up on blast cores is to craft the Metal Smelter. With a Metal Smelter, you can turn copper and iron into copper and iron bars. Copper and iron bars are key ingredients in certain pieces of furniture and decorations, but you’ll also need copper and iron bars to upgrade your Crafting Bench and create better tools, weapons, and equipment.
High-rarity gear like the epic forest axe and epic pickaxe is necessary for gathering several resources, and you’ll need top-tier weapons to defeat mighty foes like the brute.
So, that’s all there is to finding and getting blast cores in LEGO Fortnite. Seek out blasters in the Dry Valley, then lure them to their demise to steal their blast cores and craft all sorts of beneficial items!
