I uploaded a video on YouTube recently and got a copyright notice after I published it.
When I expanded the notice, it stated this, “The content ID claim on your video doesn’t affect your channel”.
Followed by “This is not a copyright strike” followed by a green tick that says “No impact”.
I had the strike because I included a copyrighted song from an artist that is a few seconds long.

The “Copyright-protected content found” notice means that copyrighted content like music has been found in your video.
If the notice states that “The owner allows the content to be used on YouTube”, it means that your channel is unaffected.
In other words, if your channel is monetized, you’ll still be able to collect ad revenue from it.
Although your video is currently unaffected, the owner of the copyrighted content has the right to revoke your permission to use it in the future.
The owner also has the right to collect a portion of your ad revenue or take legal action on your video in the future.
What do I do if there is copyrighted-protected content found on my YouTube video?
If there is copyrighted content found in your video, but the notice states that your channel is unaffected, you don’t need to do anything.
This is because the owner allows the content to be used on YouTube, so you still can collect ad revenue from it.
However, if the notice states that your video has a copyright strike and the monetization status of the video is “Ineligible”, you need to take action.
You can either replace the song that is used in your video, mute the song, file a dispute, or trim the section of the video.
