Mexican actor, José Tenoch Huerta Mejía was born on January 29th, 1981in Ecatepec de Morelos, State of Mexico.
He has acted as the star of both feature-length movies and short films in Latin America and Spain.
In Mónica Maristain’s book 30 Performers Made in Mexico, he is one of the actors who is highlighted. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, scheduled for release in 2022, he will also play Namor.
He won the Best Actor award at the Short Short Film Festival in Mexico City for his work in Café Paraso by Alonso Ruizpalacios. Huerta has also been nominated for five Ariel Awards and won Best Actor in 2012 for his performance in D’as de Gracia.
Huerta comes from an indigenous family; her paternal great-great-grandmother is Purépecha and her maternal great-great-grandmother is Nahua.
