Destiny 2 Mid-Season Update Release Date

He Destiny 2 Season of the Deep The Mid-Season Update will be released on July 18. This is a Tuesday, which is the normal day for destiny 2weekly reset. As usual, the patch will coincide with the start of a new week of Destination content.

This means that as long as you read this ahead of time, we are likely to have server state downtime.

The mid-season patch is here, bringing the 7.1.5 update to the live game. Full details of what is changing this update are as follows:

Activities

Melting pot

  • Adjusted spawn points in Burnout for Trials of Osiris Dominion.
  • Fixed some positions where players could exit the play area on these maps:
    • radiant cliffs
    • altar of flames
  • Fixed an issue where the voiceover at the end of Mayhem matches would not play.

free to roam

  • Neomuna
    • Fixed an issue where Terminal Overload could stop progressing on Stage 3.
  • UI/UX Fixed an issue where the Guardian Ranks icon decorations for higher ranks were missing.
  • Fixed an issue where Season Pass ranks beyond 100 would not register correctly on the Journey screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the Rank 71 reward in the Season Pass would not unlock correctly.
    • This issue was visual only and the boost was applied correctly when unlocked.
  • Fixed an issue where the Eververse Featured Carousel sound effect could be heard when previewing other items.

gameplay and investment

Armor

  • Fixed an issue where Dexterity mods would not provide the proper benefits to weapon ready speed.
  • Fixed an issue where Stronghold Exotic gauntlets would not correctly extend the restore duration based on the number of shots blocked and would cause it to grant restore when dealing damage with any sword.
    • Now applies the restore after block damage immediately after a hit and extends its duration based on the number of enemy attacks blocked.
  • Fixed an issue where the Blight Ranger Exotic helmet would consume Super Energy while shielding.
  • Fixed an issue where NPA Weir-Walker armor sets had inconsistent glow effects.
  • Fixed an issue where the Channeling Robes chest armor was missing a texture.

General

  • Fixed an issue where Stasis weapons with splash damage would deal less damage to Stasis Crystals than intended.
    • The New Pacific Epitaph Grenade Launcher was a notable example of this.
  • Fixed an issue where Season of the Deep weapons would apply their Taken visual effects to their decorations.
  • Fixed an issue where the Legendary Shotgun until its return would display a slightly offset glow.
  • Fixed an issue where upgraded weapons could not be applied or previewed by Memento shaders.
  • Fixed an issue where the Draft Targeted Hand Cannon would use the wrong firing animation.
    • This aggressively framed Hand Cannon used the recoil pattern of the light frame, giving it a slightly unintended advantage.
  • pulse rifles
    • At 0 Aim Assist, reduced auto aiming angle by ~10%.
  • bows
    • Light
      • Increased final accuracy by ~10%.
  • submachine guns
    • Precision
      • Improved the dynamic reticle for Shayura’s Wrath when aiming down.
  • shotguns
    • Light
      • Reduced the spread angle of the outer horizontal pellets by 15%.

  • graviton lance
    • Increased PvE damage by 67%.
    • Removed the additional aim assist provided by the Catalyst.
    • Reduced the damage dealt to players by Cosmology’s explosion by 40%.
    • Damage in PvE unchanged.

    • Range stat reduced by 10.
  • fighting lion
    • Fixed an issue where the Chimera buff on the catalyst would not apply the buffs to Kinetic and Power weapons.
  • the navigator
    • Fixed an issue where the catalyst buff timer would not display in the buff tray.
  • Cerberus+1
    • Reduced damage to Stasis Crystals.

Advantages and traits

  • straight gutshot
    • Reduced auto-aim penalty by 37.5%.
  • slickdraw
    • Reduced auto-aim penalty by 33%.
  • target locked
    • Reduced maximum damage against players from 40% to 25%.
    • Damage in PvE unchanged.

Skills

Stasis

  • whisper of frost
    • Reduce the maximum amount of overprotection from 100 hp to 50 hp.
    • Reduced overshield gain for Stasis Shard from 12.5 hp to 5 hp.
    • Non-player combatants now deal 50% damage to Whisper of Rime’s shield.
  • whisper of chains
    • Reduced PvP damage reduction from 15% to 5%.

Strand

  • Threaded Spectre, Flechette Storm, and The Wanderer will now display unique icons in the kill feed in PvP activities.
  • Fixed an issue where Threadlings would collide and detonate near Supremacy ridges.
  • Fixed an issue where The Wanderer Aspect would erroneously display the Floating Threadlings tutorial.

Rewards and chases

  • Fixed an issue where the standard rate reward would not progress on kills with Kinetic weapons.

fighters

  • Fixed an issue where Tormentor’s abilities were missing some visual effects.

General

Location

  • Korean
    • Fixed a mismatch with audio and subtitles when interacting with Cayde’s memorial in the Tower.
  • Many languages
    • Fixed an issue where some descriptions on the Loadouts screen would overflow into their text boxes.
    • Fixed some volume inconsistencies when playing archive recordings in the Contain the Veil mission.

Not directly part of the update, but coming next week in a hotfix, we also know that any Crucible spawn changes made earlier in the season will be reverted to their original state.

We also await the Solstice 2023, destiny 2 latest in-game event, which will bring back the Bonfire Bash mode and offer new armor to earn, as well as a Strand Rocket Launcher.
