In light of his newfound role as the spouse of the heir presumptive to the Danish throne, Laborde de Monpezat was bestowed with the distinguished style and title of “His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark.” This marked a significant elevation in his status within the Danish royal hierarchy. Their marital union endured for more than fifty years, a testament to the strength of their bond, until Prince Henrik’s passing on February 13, 2018.
