Buck Trent Cause Of Death, Age, Funeral, Net Worth: American country music instrumentalist, Buck Trent, also known as Charles Wilburn “Buck” Trent has reportedly passed away.

Buck Trent is credited with inventing the electric banjo and also played the five-string banjo, dobro, steel guitar, mandolin, electric bass, and guitar.

The two-time Country Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year, Buck Trent died at 85 on October 9, 2023. The news was shared by his wife, Jean Trent via social media but didn’t disclose Buck’s cause of death.

Jean said in a statement; “It is with great sorrow and a broken heart to say my husband, my love, Buck Trent, went to be with Jesus this morning. I lost my best friend, and the world lost a Master Musician and Country Music Legend”

Jim Halsey described Trent as “one of my very favorite people in the world.” He added in a statement, “I worked with him for years as a partner with the Roy Clark Show. Buck Trent is one of the greatest banjo players ever. We will all miss him. Thank you, Buck Trent, for being in all our lives.”

Trent was a member of the cast of the variety show Hee Haw. He was known for his signature phrase, “Uh-huh, oh yeah,” originating from a performance on Hee Haw. He uttered the phrase as part of his shows, accompanied by a thumbs-up gesture.

In addition to his appearance on Hee Haw, Trent was formerly a regular on The Roy Clark Show and performed on The Porter Wagoner Show as part of the Wagonmasters.

He contributed guitar and/or banjo on enduring recordings by Roy Acuff, Wagoner, Clark, Stuart, and Dolly Parton, including acoustic guitar on Parton’s signature hits “I Will Always Love You” and “Jolene”
