A new bride has been taken by Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwus, the Ooni of Ife, months after his marriage to Silekunola Naomi ended in divorce.
Mariam Anako, the new Oba’s wife, reportedly appeared at the palace of the ruler in Ile-Ife, Osun State, late on Tuesday.
Mariam had to go through rites at the palace’s entrance before being allowed inside.
The newlyweds were then led into the inner court of the palace, where their betrothed and other guests awaited to welcome them.

In a video shared on his spokesperson Moses Olafare’s Facebook page at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oba Ogunwusi welcomed his new bride into the palace with the assistance of various chiefs and dependable advisors.
The Ooni’s elder brother, Sooko Adegboyega Ogunwusi, as well as the monarch’s other siblings were present, according to the ceremony’s host.
