Of Lambs and Wolves is the first quest you’ll encounter in Diablo 4’s new Season of the Infernal Hordes, and it can be quite tricky to complete near the end. Thankfully I’ve laid out all of the steps you’ll need to take, letting you get going in Season 5 with ease!
How to complete Of Lambs and Wolves
If you’re creating a new character for Season 5 and have opted to skip the campaign then you’ll start your journey in Zarbinzet where Of Lambs and Wolves commences. If not, however, you’ll have to work your way there and speak to Captain Cireska.

Proceed through the dialogue with Cireska and Locran, and you’ll eventually be tasked with locating Locran’s family to the south. The trouble with this objective is that there’s only a vague indication of the area where you’ll find the house in question, and it’s then up to you to hunt it down.

You’ll find the house and be able to open the Reinforced Door in the southwest section of the Umir Plateau in Hawezar. It doesn’t take too long to reach once you know where you’re going thankfully, and you’ll be able to progress the quest in no time.
Once you’re inside the house you’ll want to continue talking to Locran and Istel, to the point where you’re asked to gather Fetid Khazra Liver. Pick up the Liver from the Crate of Khazra Organs at the back of the room and speak to Istel.

You’ll then have to face two separate enemies, which aren’t too tricky to take down if you’ve managed to level up a couple of times prior, and you’ll eventually earn yourself a Mother’s Gift.
Speak with Locran one final time and the quest will now be completed, setting you on your journey towards the Infernal Hordes. The next quest – ‘The Rising Hells’ – tasks you with gathering 15 Mother’s Gifts, and I’d recommend heading to the currently active Helltide as there are plenty of Elite enemies there to help you on your way.
