The new God of War: Ragnarok Valhalla DLC takes players back to the Nine Realms once again to witness the aftermath of the main story – and it lets you customise your armour, too. In Valhalla, Kratos undertakes a personal and perilous journey in the mythological Norse location, where he faces the unknown once again. One of the returning features of the Valhalla DLC is the ability to customise your armour. How to customise your armour in God of War: Ragnarok Valhalla
You can customise your armour from the appearance pedestal located at the left when you start from The Shores of Valhalla on every run. This will be accessible after you’ve completed the ‘The Invitation’ mission, which is the first proper run you do in Valhalla.
When you spawn in The Shore after that, go forward, and you’ll notice the Valkyrie Eir is beside a pedestal. This specific pedestal will let you customise your armour as well as your weapons.

Almost all the armour from the main story is unlocked from the game, and you can equip and combine any of them according to your will. Some of them are locked, and you can unlock them by completing certain challenges and finding them during your runs.

Additionally, the Valkyries Eir and Gunnr will occasionally reward you with armour pieces for completing certain challenges as well.
Does armour help in combat in God of War: Ragnarok Valhalla?
The armour in the God of War Ragnarok Valhalla DLC is purely cosmetic and does not affect your stats and abilities in exploration and combat. So, it doesn’t matter what type of armour you wear and what you equip with your weapons.

As this DLC is inspired by the roguelike genre, players will have to find different ways to survive in Valhalla, including gaining temporary boosts to stats and abilities. But, unfortunately, the armour won’t be receiving any sort of upgrades or boosts.
