How to get Instagram Collaborative Collections

Still not getting this feature after updating? Don’t worry, because Instagram rolls out new features in batches and you may have to wait a while for Instagram’s collaborative collections to load on your smartphone.
How to Create an Instagram Collaborative Collection
The steps to use Instagram Collaborative Collections are similar to how you save Instagram posts. There are two ways you can save collaborative posts.
1. From Instagram Feed
Step 1: Open Instagram and find the post you want to save.
Step 2: Click the save button below the article.
Step 3: Select New Collection.
Step 4: Name the Collection.
Slide 4: Turn on Collaborate and choose who you want to collaborate with.
Step 5: After you select the person, tap Save in the top right corner.
2. From Instagram DM
You can save posts you’ve sent as well as posts you’ve received on Instagram DMs to a Collaborative Collection. All but what you have to do is:
Step 1: Open Instagram and tap the DM icon in the top right corner.
Step 2: Open the contact you want to collaborate with.
Step 3: Now, hit the save button next to the post.
Step 4: Tap New Collection.
Step 5: Name the Collection and press Save.
Note: Posts you add to a Collaborative Collection from an Instagram DM will be a post between you and the recipient. At the time of writing this tutorial, you cannot change participants once the collaboration is created.
Where to find Instagram collaboration collections
Now that you know how to create Instagram Collaborative Collections, let’s see how you can view collaborative collections after creating them. There are many ways you can do that.
1. From the saved page
Since Instagram Collaborative Collections are saved posts, you can easily access them from the same section. This is the way:
Step 1: Open Instagram and tap on your profile.
Step 2: Next, tap the hamburger menu.
Step 3: Select Saved.
From here, you can see all your saved posts along with your Collaborative posts. To easily recognize collaborative posts, you can see who you’ve shared the saved post with.
2. From Instagram direct message
When you add someone to a Collaborative Collection, they’ll be notified in the DM about it. You can tap the notification or:
Step 1: Open Instagram > tap the Messages icon at the top.
Step 2: Now, open the chat screen of the person you added to the collaborative save.
Step 3: Tap their name at the top.
Step 4: Scroll down to Collections.
Here you can see all the Collaborative Collections you have created with them.
How to edit or delete an Instagram collaboration collection
After you create a collaborative save, you can also make changes to the save. This is the way:
Step 1: Open Instagram > visit your personal page > click on the hamburger menu.
Step 2: Tap Saved and open the Collaborative Collection you want to edit.
Step 3: Tap the three dots in the right corner and select Edit Collection.
Step 4: You can rename or cover the collection. Once done, tap the bookmark icon.
Step 5: Alternatively, to delete a Collection, tap Delete Collection.
Step 6: Select Delete again to confirm.
Remove or Move Posts from Collaborative Collection

Step 1: Open Instagram and tap your profile > hamburger menu > select Saved.
Step 2: Select the Collection you want to make changes to.
Step 3: Tap the top three dots.
Step 4: Select Select.
Step 5: Select the post and tap Remove from saved post.
Step 6: Click Delete to confirm
Here’s how you can move a post from an Instagram Collaborative Collection to another collection:
Step 1: To move you follow step 5 and select Move.
Step 2: Select the collection you want to add the post to.
If you want to add it to a new collection, tap the + icon.
Step 3: Click Move to confirm.

1. Can I add or remove new members from an existing Collaborative Collection?
Currently, there is no option to add or remove members from the Collaborative Collection.
2. How many collaborators can you have on Instagram Collaborative Collections?
Currently, there can only be a total of two collaborators including you and the other person.
3. Do people know if I save my Instagram post?
Unless you save the post to the collaboration, no one will be able to tell if you saved the post or not.
4. Can someone see if you screenshot their Instagram posts?
No one will be notified when you take a screenshot of anyone’s posts on Instagram.
5. Do you know someone who shared your Instagram post?
While you can see how many people have shared your Instagram post, there is no other way to know everyone who has shared the post.
