Ccleaner is a free system optimization tool that can be used to remove unused files and speed up your PC. It can clear internet history from browser and remove temporary content from other apps. It has an inbuilt registry cleaner that helps find and fix all registry errors.

How to Use CCleaner
Ccleaner has an easy interface. To get started with the service, download and install Ccleaner on your PC. Run the application by double-clicking the program icon.
As you can see in the screenshot above, Ccleaner has four sections in the left sidebar, namely:
- Cleaner
- register
- Tools
- Option
Each of these sections has its own set of functions:
Cleaner – It mainly deletes temporary files from the system. It also deletes all browsing details from your PC browser.
Registry – It checks and fixes problems, if any, inside your system registry.
Tools – You can manage installed programs and applications in your PC. You can uninstall any program directly from the Ccleaner interface. Also, remove any system restore points and unwanted programs from the startup list.
Preferences – Allows you to choose your preferences for running Ccleaner.
As shown in the screenshot below, in Ccleaner mode there are several checkboxes. These boxes determine the installation of Ccleaner. You can check or uncheck these boxes to keep or remove any items from the cleaning process.
Run and analyze Ccleaner
To run Ccleaner, click the “Run Cleaner” button.
You can also click the “Analyze” button. It will give you detailed information about the files to be deleted first.
Fix registration problems
Select the Registry option on the left and click “Scan for problems”. It will find all the errors and old entries in the system registry.
Note: In case if you delete something important from your registry file and need it later, Ccleaner allows you to create a backup of the registry first. You will be prompted to back up during the debugging process. You should do that so you can restore files from backup if something goes wrong.
After scanning for problems, you can back up and then fix registry problems with this tool.
