How to Take Continuous Burst Shots From Your Android Camera

The HTC One X, HTC’s flagship phone, is packed with exciting features. One of my favorites is the camera’s burst mode. When using burst mode, users can take up to 20 snapshots with a single tap of the shutter button.

Sequential shots

Burst mode can be very useful sometimes. Let’s take an example when your son is nearing the finish line and you want to capture the perfect moment when he hits the winning ribbon. You can try taking a photo and miss the moment, or you can let your phone camera take 20 photos in succession and then choose the best one.

It’s all about probability. The more options, the better your chances of getting that perfect shot. But sadly, all Android phones don’t have this feature by default. So let’s see how you can use this app called Fast Burst Camera Lite and get burst mode feature on your Android device, no matter what brand of phone you have.

Quick Burst Camera Lite

Just install the app and start shooting. Touch and hold the shutter button on the app to take all photos. At max, the app can capture up to 30 images per second, but I’m afraid only a few devices can really achieve that. On average, a person can receive 10 images per second.

All images are instantly saved to your phone’s storage and you can press the menu button and burst list to see all the consecutive shots you’ve taken using the app. The best thing about images is that after you take consecutive shots, you can create a collage and compare them side by side to choose the best one. To create a collage, tap and hold the list you want to create a collage of and tap Collage.

However, it may take a while for the app to create the collage.

Note: Your phone may shut down many or all apps running in the background, such as app launchers, just to free up memory for Fast Burst Camera Lite.

That’s what we get for free in the lite version, but if you want features like flash, focus and zoom, you can buy the pro version of the app from the Play Store. Try the app on your Android device and see how it works for you.
