Sometimes, you want to check your old Instagram Bios and post them again using the same fonts or quotes. This is helpful, especially if you still need to save your previous Bios on your mobile. In this post, we will show you how to see your old Instagram Bios on iPhone and Android to add them again to your profile.
How to See Your Old Instagram Bios
Earlier Instagram gave you the option to view or copy your Bio. But with the latest app version, this feature is not available anymore. However, you can check your previous Instagram Bios, and we will suggest a workaround to copy and paste your old Bio without installing any third-party apps. Proceeding with the steps, we suggest updating the app on your iPhone or Android.
After that, here are the steps.
Step 1: Open Instagram on your iPhone or Android.
Step 2: Tap on your profile icon at the bottom-right corner.
Step 3: Tap on the hamburger menu icon at the top-right corner.
Step 4: Select Your Activity from the list of options.
Step 5: Scroll down and tap on Account History.
You will find all your old Bios and check what you posted previously on your profile. But since you cannot copy your Bio, keep following the steps for the workaround.
Step 6: Take a screenshot on your iPhone or Android of your old Bio that you want to copy.
Step 7: On iPhone, open the screenshot in the Photos app, long-press on the Bio text to select and copy it.
On Android, open the screenshot in Google Photos and tap on Copy Text at the bottom using Google Lens.
Step 8: Paste the Bio text in the Instagram app.
You will now see your old Instagram Bio exactly as your posted previously.
Do note that you can check your Instagram Bios only from the mobile app and not the web version of Instagram. Also, you don’t get the option of deleting any of your old Bios. But you can always change your Bio depending on your choice.
How To See Someone’s Old Instagram Bios
Every account you follow on Instagram has its own Bio which can be changed per the user’s choice. However, suppose there is an account of a person or entity that you follow which is changing its Bio more often than usual. In that case, you can verify if the account still belongs to its original owner. You can’t really check someone’s old Instagram Bio. However, you can see if that account is verified by Instagram.
Here’s how.
Step 1: Open Instagram on your iPhone or Android phone.
Step 2: Open the Instagram profile that you want to check.
Step 3: Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the profile’s main page.
Step 4: Select About This Account from the list of options.
You will see all the information of the Instagram profile like Date Joined, Account Based In, Verified status, and more.
Step 5: Tap on Former Usernames. You will see this option if the profile name has been changed to a new one.
You can check the number of times the profile owner has changed username.
If the number exceeds the usual frequency, you can unfollow or block the account on Instagram.
