How to Record Android Screen Better than Google Play Games

Google Play Games recently updated their app and according to them, users can now record their gameplay and share it on YouTube and other social networks. But the thing is, this feature has only been rolled out to UK and US users and also in batches.

I’m not sure why Google or any other service decided not to roll it out to other countries. Try your best! The recording is happening on my device and using the record button on the APK is not causing any load on their server. But this kind of select feature that rolled out first in the US and UK has become a trend these days and I hate it more than anything else.

Either way, I can’t remedy that location-based discrimination. But I can certainly tell you about an alternative to Google Play Games for video recording and that is also better than the previous one. So let me show you how.

Record Screencast with Mobizen

Mobizen is a free app with which you can not only record the games you play on your Android, but also apps. You can basically record anything and everything on your Android and that too without root access. The application also allows you to record your screen directly on your computer using a browser. But for all of that, you’ll have to install the app and create an account on first launch.

Having done that, you will directly get the option to start recording the video. But before you start recording for the first time, tap the three-dot menu and click recording option. Here select the video quality you want to record. If you scroll down, you can choose to exclude the app watermark and include touches and even the front-facing camera.

No features are locked and once configured, just tap start recording. You can use the notification tray to control video recording. You can pause midway if needed and end with the buttons in the notification tray.

Edit video

Once you have recorded the video, you can edit and trim the video to trim the beginning and ending parts. When everything is ready, you have the option to share it using any social app installed on your device. You can also mute or add background sound to your video.

Added bonus: Browser control

Using Mobizen, you can also connect your browser and have the option to record videos and take screenshots. You have additional options like media management, find your phone, files, and contacts. A great addition and the best part is that you don’t need to install any application on your computer for all of that.

You can also enable USB debugging on your computer and connect your phone using USB to speed things up.
