How to ping enemies in Modern Warfare 2

To ping enemies in Modern Warfare 2, you need to press the alt button (PC) or up on the D-pad (PS4/PS5/Xbox).

This will open the ping wheel where you can select a ping option.

There are 4 ping options—Silent, View, Help, and Continue.

If you want to ping the enemy, you should choose “Watch” ping.

To open the ping wheel for PC, PS4, PS5 or Xbox:

After you have opened the ping wheel, scroll to the ping you want to use (ex: View).

Finally, drop ping to ping the enemy or location.

You cannot ping enemies in MW2 because the ping feature is currently glitched.

The glitch will retain your ping after death.

In other words, the ping will remain in the game and on the enemy until it is over.

At the time of this writing, ping has been disabled and there is no ETA when it is re-enabled.

A user by the name rennlee_ on TikTok posted a video of the incident.

To do the glitch you need to ping the enemy as soon as you are killed.

As long as your cam is on the enemy you will have a permanent direct ping even if they die and respawn.
