How to merge Overwatch 2 accounts
To merge Overwatch 2 accounts, you need to log into Overwatch 2 on your dashboard and you will be prompted to scan a QR code.
Scan the QR code with your mobile device, follow the on-screen instructions, and wait for the merge queue to complete (this may take several hours).
If you don’t get the prompt, you need to restart your game or wait until Blizzard fixes the build launch bug.
Step 1: Launch Overwatch 2 on your console
- Launch and log in to Overwatch 2 on your console.
- The “Cross Progression” pop-up will appear.
- Select “Continue” to go to the next step.
Note: If the pop-up doesn’t appear, you need to restart the game or wait for Blizzard to fix the UI. There is currently a bug with the launch build that causes the account merge prompt not to show up on certain consoles.
Step 2: Scan the QR code
- Scan the QR code with your mobile device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to move on to the next step.
Step 3: Confirm your account to merge
- Select “Hold to confirm account”.
- Select “Continue”.
Step 4: Wait for the account merge queue to complete
- Wait for the account merge queue to complete (this may take several hours).
- You can see how many players are in the queue by selecting “Merge Accounts – In Queue”.
- Example: You are currently 17000 in the migration queue.
If your skins, cosmetics, or progress are still not being transferred even after the migration is complete, you need to wait a longer period of time because the player database is overloaded.
