How to level up fast in Lords of the Fallen & get Vigor

Levelling up in Lords of the Fallen is an important part of gameplay, as it allows players to gain strength, health, and overall become stronger throughout their adventure. There are a lot of stats to consider when you are levelling up, too, and trying to gain enough Vigor to get there in the game can also be a hefty task.

Depending on which of Lords of the Fallen’s classes you are playing, the stats you have to focus on – and which ones you should funnel all of your points into – will also change.

So, here is how you can gain Vigor to level up faster within Lords of the Fallen.

In order to level up in Lords of the Fallen, you’ll need a resource called Vigor. This is similar to that of Souls in Dark Souls or Runes in Elden Ring.

You can collect this resource by killing enemies, as they all drop some Vigor when they die. Equally, you may come across consumables that you can use that will give you a certain amount of when used.

Once you have enough Vigor, to level up, you’ll need to go to a Vestige site, which you can find in-game by coming across locations similar to the Vestige of Ranik pictured above. When there, it will give you the option to level up, and you can then carefully choose what stat to put your points into.

As you continue to play and work towards levelling up, the amount of Vigor you need will increase, and you’ll find it becoming a struggle to level up unless you’ve killed really strong enemies, used consumables, or killed a boss.

It may sound simple, but the best way to level up quickly in Lords of the Fallen is to kill any (and all of) the enemies that you see in front of you. Levelling in the early game will take a bit longer, as you need a pretty hefty amount of Vigor in order to get your first level up. However, you can farm the beginning area as many times as you want by resting at a Vestige site and resetting the enemies.

Equally, you will get big chunks of Vigor from killing a boss, and that should be enough to start levelling you up at the start of the game and the mid-game – but once it gets to the end-game, you may need more than just one boss’ worth of Vigor.

Make sure to use your consumables as often as you can if you’re confident that you won’t lose the Vigor, as this will also allow you to get some Vigor for ‘free’ and can speed up the process of farming for the resource.

That’s everything you need to know about how to level up in Lords of the Fallen.
