This means that all possible homebrews so far are limited by the power of the PSP emulator. However, this time, the emulator and the original homebrew are now possible on PS Vita thanks to some vulnerabilities found in the PSM (PlayStation Mobile) application, which makes homebrew much more powerful in the near future.
Even so, installing native PSM apps is no longer possible. But PSM for unity The app has also been proven to be compatible with any future hacks.

What you will need:
- PS Vita runs OFWs (Official Firmware) between 3.20 and 3.51 (OFWs 3.52 and above break this method).
- Installation files (download link)
- An email account (preferably Gmail) set up on Vita’s Mail app.
- Mozilla Thunderbird email client for Mac or Windows (set it up with the same email or any other).
- QCMA application.
On your computer
Step 1: Extract the file you downloaded. You should have files like the image below, UNITE directory and test.eml document. Keep it both handy and easily accessible.
Step 2: Transfer all UNITE folder to the location on your computer where you store your PSP backups. This should be in a randomly numbered folder, located in a folder PSAVEDATA folder, as shown in the image below.

Step 3: On your PS Vita, activate Safe mode (read this article if you don’t know how) and choose option number two: Rebuild the database. This may take a few minutes.
When your PS Vita is ready, connect it to your computer and use qCMA to transfer INSTALL PSM UNITY save the data file from your computer to the PS Vita.
Once done, close qCMA and unplug your PS Vita.
Step 4: Next, on your computer find test.eml file from earlier. Right click on it and open it with Thunderbird email client, which will open it as an email.

Step 5: On your Vita, press and hold the . button Postscript and make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
Now here’s the tricky part: You need to enable the update on any game or app installed on your Vita. There are two ways to do this.
Method 1
You can search for updates on your apps and games by opening their Live Area and tapping the circled arrow icon. If the app or game has an update, a yellow globe with a downward arrow will appear.
Tap this icon, and when updates appear, tap Download button to start it.
Then go right to Notification bubble at the top right of the screen, and when the update starts downloading, immediately tap the three dots (…) and pause button.
Method 2
If you don’t have an app to update on your Vita, go to SettingLater System and then open Mobile PlayStation. choose next Update from the available options and start the update process.
Right after that exit the settings and open Notification bubble at the top right of the screen, and when the update starts downloading, immediately tap the three dots (…) and pause button.
Note: If you have multiple updates, pause both and cancel one of them, as you only need one.
Step 6: Once the update is paused (don’t close the Live Area of the game or app updating), now open Email app on your Vita and find the email you just sent yourself with Thunderbird and open it.
You will notice there are two attachments there. Now read carefully and follow.
Click on the first one to open it and after a short while you will get an error message. DO NOT TAP THEN ALRIGHT BUTTON. Instead, just press the . button Postscript button and close Email application.
Now open Email app again and repeat the process above, but this time by tapping on the second attachment. When you get the error message, close Email application (remember Are not to click ALRIGHT).
Step 7: Now turn off Wi-Fi and then turn off your PS Vita. After a few seconds, turn your Vita back on then tap the . button Notification balloon. You will find the update paused from before the error message was displayed.
Don’t worry about this. Just select the error message and you will get the message shown below, indicating that PSM for Unity is being installed.
Once the installation is done, enable Wi-Fi, open the PSM Unity app and update it.
Hot Tip: If for some reason this procedure doesn’t work, put your Vita in Safe Mode and rebuild its database again.
