Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is a challenging game mode. Even though there is no PvP, Urzikstan is filled with Mercenaries and zombies, including elite ones, who can easily overwhelm you, even in open areas, and take you out. The Sentry Gun is an automated weapon that fires incendiary-based rounds and is one of the best Killstreaks in the game. It can shimmer down the numbers and increase your survivability in the Zombies game mode, especially in higher tier zones.

How to get a Sentry Gun in MW3 Zombies

In Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, you can get a Sentry Gun by purchasing it for 2,000 Essence at any Buy Stations in Tier 2 and Tier 3 zones. This is the most definite way of obtaining the Sentry Gun in the game.
Apart from that, you can also obtain the Sentry Gun from the Loot Boxes, Large Merc Cache, Aether Cache, Lockers, Duffle Bags, and other containers you find all around Urzikstan.
During our playthrough, we often found Sentry Gun and the Mortar Strike Killstreak in the regular Cache found around the game map, including the Tier 1 zone.

So, while you are making your way to accumulate that 2000 Essence for buying the Sentry Gun, try to loot around the area. If you are lucky, you may find the Sentry Gun from Cache, saving you those Essence that you can use to get other useful items.
How to use the Sentry Gun

To use the Sentry Gun in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, you must press the Killstreak key, which is ‘3’ on PC by default. On PlayStation and Xbox, you can simply check the Sentry Gun icon that appears on the bottom right side of the game screen and press the corresponding button on your controller.
Once you do that, you will enter the placement mode, having the Sentry Gun in your hand and ready to place at your desired location with the press of the Primary Fire button, which on PC is ‘LMB,’ on PlayStation is, ‘R2’ and on Xbox is ‘RT.’

After you have placed the Sentry Gun, you move it to a different location by pressing the ‘F’ key and then placing it again using the Primary Fire key.
