Step 4: Select Account from the bottom left corner.

There is another way to force dark mode in Microsoft Word on Windows 11.
Step 1: Click on the Start icon, type Microsoft Word, and press Enter to open Microsoft Word.

Step 4: Select Options in the lower left corner.

How to Force Dark Mode in Microsoft Word on Mac
Microsoft Word themed system on Mac. So, to force dark mode, you need to select Dark theme from Settings on your Mac. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1: Press the keyboard shortcut Command + Spacebar to open Spotlight Search, type System installation, and press Back.
Step 2: Click Appearance from the left menu.
Step 3: Select Dark theme.
After closing the window and opening Microsoft Word, you can only use the app in Dark Mode.
There is no option to just use Dark Mode in Microsoft Word while keeping the Light Theme on the Mac.

Step 1: Press the keyboard shortcut Command + Spacebar to open Spotlight Search, type Microsoft Word, and press Return to open Microsoft Word.
Step 2: Open an existing file or a new blank document.
Step 3: Click on Word in the upper right corner.
Step 4: Select Preferences from the context menu.
Step 5: Click General.
Step 6: Under Personalization, select the checkbox next to ‘Dark mode with white page color’.
Close the window and you will see a blank page even though Dark Mode has been applied in Microsoft Word.
