- Go to instagram.com and log in to your Instagram account.
- The page for any Instagram links you visit will now be available.
Editor’s Note: The page for any Instagram link will be available as long as you’re signed in to Instagram (whether you’re on a mobile device or a PC).
Therefore, you cannot stay incognito or private as it will automatically log you out of Instagram when you leave the tab.
Based on my testing, the error “The link you follow may be broken or the page may have been deleted” occurs when you visit someone’s Instagram profile without being logged into Instagram.
For example, I tapped the Instagram icon on someone’s TikTok profile, but the page isn’t available.
I also tried accessing someone’s Instagram link from their Twitter profile but I got the same error message.
Apparently, this is a bug/glitch on Instagram’s back end because users weren’t previously required to log in to view other Instagram profiles.
For now, you can bypass the error message by staying signed in—this will allow you to access any Instagram link in a browser like Chrome or Safari.
