How to Fix iOS 17 Beta Not Showing

iOS 17 introduces new ways to express yourself and allows you to share content in a different way.

The new plus button lets you see the things you send the most, like audio and photo messages.

Let your friends and family know when you visit a place like your home.

Go to the first message that you haven’t seen in the conversation using the new catch-up arrow.

Before the software is released, you can download and test its beta version.

However, many users are unable to download it because the iOS 17 Beta option is not visible.

In this guide, you will learn how to fix iOS 17 Beta not showing, not working or missing error in software update for iPhone or iPad.

  • Step 1: Join the Apple Beta Software Program with your primary Apple ID (if you haven’t already)
  • Step 2: Sign up for a new Apple Developer account
  • Step 3: Use your new Apple Developer account to update Beta

Editor’s Note: I tested this guide myself before I wrote it and it works—it’s an unpatched bug/glitch (follow instructions carefully!) – @notlhw.

Step 1: Join the Apple Beta Software Program with your primary Apple ID (if you haven’t already)

  2. Select the “Register” button.
  3. Enter your Apple ID and master password.
  4. Enter the confirmation code.
  5. Select “Accept” to agree to the agreement.

Once you’ve joined the Apple Beta Software Program, you’ll need to create a new Apple ID:

  1. Go to https://developer.apple.com/ and select “Account”.
  2. Select “Create your account now” to create a new Apple ID.
  3. Enter your information (name, country, phone number, etc.) and select “Continue”.
  4. Verify your email address and phone number.
  5. Agree to the agreement and select “Submit” to create a new Apple ID.

Note: A new Apple ID is required for the iOS 17 Beta option to show up—this is an unpatched working bug/problem!

Step 3: Use your new Apple Developer account to update Beta

The screenshots are arranged from left to right and top to bottom.

Once you’ve created a new Apple ID, you need to use it for the Beta Update instead of your primary Apple ID:

  1. Open the Settings app > General > Software Update > Beta Update.
  2. Tap your existing Apple ID (example: [email protected]).
  3. Select “Use a different Apple ID…”.
  4. Enter the email address and password of the new Apple ID you just created and select “Sign In”.
  5. Restart your phone.
  6. Return to the “Beta Updates” page in the Settings app.
  7. Select “iOS 17 Developer Beta”, go back and select “Download and Install”!

Note: Before downloading iOS 17 Developer Beta, be sure to back up your phone.
