Gold notes are not working on Instagram because you haven’t updated the app to the latest version.
If you’ve already updated the app to the latest version but you still can’t use gold notes, it means that there’s a caching issue.
A gold note can be triggered if you’ve used trigger words like “Gold”, “Victory”, “Champion”, and more.

How to fix gold notes not showing on Instagram
To fix gold notes not showing on Instagram, you need to update the app to the latest version.
You can also try offloading Instagram, clearing the app’s cache, or uninstalling and reinstalling it.
Fix 1: Update Instagram
- Open the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Search for “Instagram” and select it.
- Tap on “Update” if there’s an update.
- Open Instagram and check if you can add gold notes.
Fix 2: Offload Instagram (for iPhone only)
- Open the Settings app and select “General”.
- Select “iPhone Storage”.
- Scroll down and select “Instagram”.
- Select “Offload App” twice.
- Select “Reinstall App”
- Open Instagram and check if you can add gold notes.
Editor’s note: I’ve tested this method myself and I was able to add gold notes after offloading and reinstalling Instagram.
Fix 3: Clear Instagram’s cache (for Android only)
- Open the Settings app.
- Apps > App management > Instagram.
- Select “Instagram” and select “Storage usage”.
- Select “Clear cache” followed by “Clear data”.
- Open Instagram and check if you can add gold notes.
Fix 4: Uninstall and reinstall Instagram
- Tap and hold the Instagram app.
- Select “Remove” or “Uninstall”.
- Open the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Search for “Instagram” and reinstall it.
- Open Instagram and check if you can add gold notes.
