If you are one of the millions of people who have received a new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, you may have noticed that your old wallpapers don’t look good on the new screen. That’s because the iPhone 6’s larger 4.7-inch screen has a resolution of 750×1334 instead of the 640×1136 of the iPhone 5/5s. And The 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch full HD display. Even though the panel’s resolution is 1080×1920, the software actually renders it at 1242×2208 and then downscales it to 1080p.
So if you are looking for a sharp wallpaper for your 6 Plus, you need to find something that is at least 1242×2208. And that’s with a zoomed-out perspective. If you like the parallax effect, the background image needs to be even bigger.
