How to deactivate your Themes account
- Open the Themes app and sign in to the account you want to deactivate.
- Click the profile icon on the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap the menu icon and select “Accounts”.
- Select “Deactivate Profile”, then select “Deactivate Theme Profile”.
Note: Deactivating your profile is only temporary—your profile, topics, replies, and likes will be hidden until you reactivate it by logging in again.
How to delete your Themes account
To delete your Threads account, you’ll need to delete your Instagram account—here’s how to do it:
- Open the Instagram app and sign in to the account you want to remove from Threads.
- Tap your profile picture on the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap the menu icon and select “Settings and privacy”.
- Select “Account Center” and select “Personal Information”.
- Account Ownership and Control > Deactivate or Remove > Your Account.
- Select “Delete Account” followed by “Continue”.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to delete both your Instagram and Threads accounts.
Note #1: According to the Instagram Help Center, Topics are powered by Instagram—so you’ll need to delete your Instagram account to delete your Topics profile and data.
