Step 1: Open the Threads > tap on your Profile icon and choose the Hamburger Menu.

Step 3: Tap the ‘Download your information.’ You will be redirected to Instagram.
Tip: If you are logged into another account, you will be asked to switch the account linked with Threads.
Step 4: Choose ‘Request a download.’
Step 5: Choose the accounts and profiles you want to download information from and tap Next.
Step 6: Choose between:
- Complete copy: Get the complete copy of the data of the accounts chosen.
- Select types of information: Choose the information you want to download.
Step 7: Customize which email to receive the information, Format, Media quality, and Date range. Then, tap Submit Report.
Wait until the request is processed and tap Download to get the information. You can check back the same page again after some time.

How to Deactivate Your Threads Account

- Your Instagram account will be deleted: Since Threads has been integrated with Instagram, when you proceed to delete your Threads account, it will also remove your Instagram account. Hence the better solution is to deactivate it.
- All your data will be gone: You might already know this. Deleting your account will remove all the information associated with your account, including images and Threads. But since it’s also linked to your Instagram account, you will lose all the Messages and other associated information.
How to Take a Break on Threads
If you don’t want to deactivate or delete your Threads account and just want to limit the time spent, Threads offers the native option to get a reminder to take a break after a particular amount of time.
