But today our Twitter activity is much more than on smartphones. So it becomes inconvenient to share that cat gif if you have to use your phone’s browser to shorten its address. So let’s see how to make that cumbersome process a little easier on Android Smartphones.
Apps – URL Shortener
This is a simple and useful application that simplifies the process of creating and sharing a short URL. Although it does not support all URL shortening service providers, the main ones, goo.gl, tinyurl, v.gd & is.gd do. You can install it from the Play Store.
Shorten a link

Using the app is very simple, type or paste your desired link and tap COMPACT button. The generated URL is automatically copied to the clipboard and the corresponding QR code is generated.
You can select a provider by tapping the Provider drop-down menu. There are four suppliers, is.gd, v.gd, goo.gl & tinyurl. Among them is.gd is the default one. Unfortunately, you cannot add your own providers.
There are 7 types of Short URL structure as shown in the image below. Types are self-explanatory; However, we have provided you with the following image to get an idea. Custom structures are open to your creativity.

Note: If you use goo.gl supplier, only Standard structure will be available and statistics will be logged by default.
In the settings menu, accessed as usual by tapping the three dots, you can set the length of the short URL, from 6 to 30 characters, and also customize the size and color of the QR code.

Check Stats
Not many people know it, but shortening the URL not only reduces the number of characters, but also provides an easy way to track how many times it has been clicked. This way, you can know for sure whether a photo of your baby or your lunch is of interest to your followers. You can enable this feature by checking Statistical diary for this link options before creating the link.
Note: If you use the tinyurl provider, you won’t be able to enable stats because tinyurl doesn’t support them natively.
Now to check how many times your link has been clicked and other information tap on the History icon shown in the second image. Here all the links you create are present. Tap the three dots next to the link to see more options.
You can also check the stats for your link on each provider’s website. For the v.gd link, you just need to visit the shortened link, view and click on the link statistics as shown in the screenshot below. For is.dg links, you need to add a dash (-) to the end of the link before viewing it in a browser. Because goo.gl link only .information at the end of the link and visit it.
