Microsoft has continuously added features and improved its Edge browser, and the Edge sidebar is one of its by-products. Turn the Sidebar on or off
While Edge’s sidebar is useful for accessing some browser functions, it can eventually take up extra space on your page or even be distracting. So depending on your usage, you can enable or disable the Edge sidebar. This is the way.
Step 1: Go to Search and type The edge. Then, open the browser from the search results.
Step 2: Here, in the top right corner, click the ellipsis icon.

Step 5: Then toggle the switch for ‘Always show the sidebar’.
This will enable the sidebar in Microsoft Edge. If you want to hide the sidebar, follow the steps above and disable the ‘Always show the sidebar’ option. This will disable the sidebar in Edge.
While you can disable the Microsoft Edge sidebar using the Settings menu, you can also use the auto-hide option to quickly hide the sidebar. Unlike the previous option, this option will only hide the sidebar, not disable it. You can still access it using the Explore menu. Follow the steps below to do that.
Step 1: Open Edge and go to the sidebar.

Method 1: Add a website to the Edge Sidebar
Adding websites to the Edge sidebar allows you to quickly access them with the click of a button. You can add some frequently visited websites such as Netflix, YouTube, Gmail, Amazon, WhatsApp, etc. If the website is not available in the menu options, you can also add them using the website’s URL. . Individual pages can also be added to the Edge sidebar. This is the way.
Step 1: Open Edge and click the plus icon to customize the sidebar.
Step 2: Here you can click on the currently displayed web pages. This will remove the site from the menu and add it to Edge’s sidebar.
Step 3: If you can’t find the site you’re looking for, click Show more. This will expand the menu and show your other frequently visited websites.
Step 4: When you find the relevant website, click on it to add it to the sidebar.
Step 5: To add the currently open page to the Edge sidebar, go to it and open the Custom Sidebar menu.
Step 6: Here, click ‘Add current page’.
This will add the page to the Edge sidebar. Alternatively, you can also add some websites that are not available in the ‘Add Site’ menu. This is the way.
Step 7: Go to the Customize sidebar menu and click on the Search bar.
Step 8: Here, enter the name of the website you want to add and select it from the search suggestions.
Step 9: Then, click Add.

Remove a website from the Edge Sidebar
Step 1: In Edge’s Sidebar, go to the website you want to remove and right-click on it.
Step 2: Then, click ‘Remove from sidebar’.
This will immediately remove the site from Edge’s sidebar. If you want to remove other sites, repeat the process. If you want to re-add any sites, check the ‘Add Sites’ menu for previously added sites. Individually added web pages or pages will need to be re-added using the site’s URL or by visiting the site’s page.
Method 2: Add apps to Edge Sidebar
