For those of us in the design and blogging fields, mockups can be invaluable for showcasing designs or demonstrating ideas and themes. In this article, when I say ‘model’, I am referring to an image displayed in the context of a device screen, such as a computer screen or a mobile phone screen.
The simulation model is great for showing how the image will look on a particular device screen as well as how the image will look from different angles.
Today we are going to discuss the Mockdrop website that allows to create mockups easily. The site contains a lot of models that suit the needs of many users.
Note: Of course, models can be created manually using image editing software
How it works
When you visit Mockdrop, you will see several mockups with different types of devices as a base. Models of smartphones, laptops, desktops, smart watches and tablets can be created.
When browsing through the templates, you can filter them by category or simply choose to show them all. Clicking on any image displays an enlarged version of the template, giving you a better idea of what it will look like.
Once you’ve decided on the template you want to use, click on it and it will be active. You should then click on the screen area and you will be allowed to browse your computer to find the file of your choice that you want to upload and create your mockup.
Alternatively, you can simply drag and drop an image of your choice onto a template of your choice to upload an image of your choice.
The final product will look great like the example below because the base mockups of the Mockdrop are actually pretty cool.

Conclusion
Overall, the Mockdrop works pretty well, and I just noticed a slightly annoying problem with the site. When you click on an image to see the enlarged version, clicking away from that image does not return the site to its original form and from this point on I can only click on the other visible images and see enlarged versions of them. If I want to go back to the normal view, I have to point my browser again to the Mockdrop main page.
This doesn’t get in the way of functionality much but it’s one of these little things that can potentially make you nervous. Using Mockdrop is definitely a hassle-free experience that literally takes just a few clicks to produce the desired results.
