How to Create a Photo Collage Using Google Picasa 3

According to the dictionary, a collage is “a work of art composed of materials and objects glued to a surface, often with uniform lines and colors.” So a collage will be a collection of artfully overlapping photos that fit in one frame and look great.

There are many tools, both on the desktop and on the web, that allow you to create collages easily. However, Google’s Picasa 3 stands out among them. It has some great options when it comes to creating collages. In this article, we will see how, with the help of Picasa, you can create and give amazing mosaics to your loved ones without breaking a sweat.

Create collages or mosaics with Picasa 3

Step 1: Download and Install the latest version of Picasa from their official homepage.

Step 2: On the left sidebar you will see all your photos indexed into folders while the right sidebar will show you thumbnails of all the photos in your computer. Select the folder containing the photos you want to create a collage of and click Create—>Collage from the menu bar.

Step 5: You can tilt and enhance the photo in the mosaic right from the corner wheel in the preview window. This is a pretty neat feature that you won’t find in most other similar tools. This feature gives you the flexibility to work individually on each photo in your collage and align it with the other photos in the frame to your liking.
