Downloading video
Step 1: Download and install TubeMate on your device. Since the app is not available on the Google Play Store, you must enable the permission to install apps from unknown sources on your device. To do so, navigate to Settings—>Apps and check the option Unknown sources. If you are using Android ICS, you will find it in Security Settings.
Step 2: Once done that, download TubeMate APK file from Android Freeware. On the page, click the Mirror Download button to save the file on your computer. Transfer files to your phone and install it manually.

Step 3: Once you have installed the application, launch it. TubeMate’s interface resembles the official YouTube app for Android, and you can search and watch any YouTube video on it. To download a video, open the video page to find the green download arrow at the bottom of the screen. Press the button to get video information.
Step 4: Now TubeMate will ask you the quality of the video you want to download. Choose the optimal quality and format for your device and start downloading. You will be able to see the download progress in the notification area.
Convert Video to MP3
Step 5: Once the download is complete, open TubeMate, press the menu button and select the Download option to see a list of all the videos you have downloaded using TubeMate. All videos are saved in Videos folder on your SD card.
Step 6: Tap on the downloaded video to open the options menu. Now you can sit back and watch the video. The menu also offers two options, Save as MP3 and Convert to MP3. The Save as MP3 option works on most devices and simply extracts and saves the audio of the video as an MP3 file.
The second option, Convert to MP3 will require you to download an additional application from the market called MP3 Media Converter. In the app, add the downloaded video and select the option to convert to MP3.
