How to Convert Any Webpage to PDF Using Chrome’s Print to PDF Option

I’m using the very handy doPDF, the free PDF converter in Firefox to print receipts online and other knick-knacks. Then a development on Chrome made me give up on that and switch to Google’s browser for similar jobs.

Google Chrome’s Print to PDF option is a basic built-in function. But it was these little things that helped it win the browser wars. Print to PDF is a very useful fallback solution when the printer cannot be found. It is also useful if you want to archive web pages for later reading. HTML doesn’t save very well; that’s where printing to PDF keeps the layout mostly intact.

So without further ado, see where the Print to PDF option can be found. Here are three short and quick ways:

1. Type chrome://print in the Address Bar

2. Click the Wrench icon, and then click Print.

3. Right-click the web page that you want to print to PDF and click Print.

You will get a screen similar to this:

You have all installed printers listed here. Click the Destination drop-down menu and select Print to PDF. You can choose between Portrait or Landscape mode. Select all or select the number of pages you want to print. Some page view controls allow you to preview the page. That’s it! Click Print and choose a destination to save the PDF file.

The Print to PDF option is a default feature of the latest stable version of the browser. It’s very basic but give it a try and let us know about its usefulness.
