How to fix Gmail not Sending emails

To fix Gmail not sending emails, you need to unsync and resync Gmail or allow Gmail to use mobile data.

You can also try to free up space by deleting unwanted/old emails or switch your network.

Method 1: Unsync and resync Gmail

  1. Open the Gmail app and tap on the menu icon.
  2. Scroll down and select “Settings”.
  3. Select the email address that you are using to send the email.
  4. Scroll down and untick “Sync Gmail” and restart your phone.
  5. Go back to your Gmail settings and tick “Sync Gmail”.
  6. Force close and reopen the Gmail app and the email should be sent.

Method 2: Allow Gmail to use mobile data

  1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.
  2. Network & internet > Data Saver > Unrestricted data.
  3. Select the Gmail app.
  4. Allow the app to use mobile data while Data Saver is on.
