How to Automate Meeting Schedules on Android Calendar

As part of my job, I am invited to many events, conferences and meetups. PR agencies often call or email me with details about the location and time of the event. I check my calendar and say yes or no. Then add the event to the calendar so I don’t miss it.

On the day of the event, if I am late, I will notify the members about it. Oh forget it, I’m sure you have to know how these things work out.

Everything is very manual and inefficient. We just switched from pen and diary to apps and email, but the whole process remains the same.

Well, Kono is an app that aims to change things up when it comes to scheduling events, get-togethers, corporate lunches, or even if you just want to hang out with friends. The app automates event creation, calendar management, and even alerts for upcoming events. So let me show you how you can use this app to automate the whole task to a certain extent.

Schedule a meeting using Kono

After you install and launch the app, it will ask you to create an account. For me the Facebook option was greyed out, don’t know why. So I used the Google sign in option to create an account.

When Kono uploads, it will have details from your Android calendar. You can also tap the Calendar icon in the bottom right corner to see the full Android Calendar. So tap the more icon to create an event and start the fun.

Kono will give you the kind of get-togethers you can join, such as a meeting, conference call, lunch, or if you just want to hang out with a few friends who have busy schedules. When you make a selection, it will ask you to select the contacts you want to invite. If one is not your contact, just enter the entire email address and select it.

Next, the app will give you three suggested places where you can meet up. Location can be changed along with time. The three options make it easy for the person to pick out the possible free time. You can change the place and time according to your choice.

Finally, select all the options you want to give to your friends and hit next. Send out the final invitation and it’s time to wait.

Respond to meetings

Users who are using Kono will receive an instant alert on their phone. On the app, they can answer the meeting and also choose the time and place set by you. If they’re okay with more than one option, then select both and leave the rest. Once confirmed by both parties, the event will be added directly to the calendar.

Kono confirmed

For those who have not used Kono, will receive a confirmation email and be able to reply on the web. Once confirmed, they will receive a file that can be imported into the desktop calendar. Quite a cool feature, I would say.

Email Kono Confirmed

That’s not all, even after everything is done, Kono will remind you when it’s time for you to leave the meeting. Or if you are late, it will email or text the people who are attending your ETA.

Start using Kono today

It’s all about Kono. Meetings are easily scheduled, invitations are sent quickly, and you’re even saved from being late. Kono covers it all when working in meetings and small gatherings. This app works for users who haven’t used Kono yet, but it would be great if both parties use Kono. The app is free, so give it a try.
