Leaving reviews on Google Maps is as simple as finding a business or place and clicking the review button. However, did you know there are ways to find the places you want to review? Read the next section to find out.

Using a web browser

Using Google Maps in a web browser, you can also search for previously visited places on your timeline and revisit them as you wish. Follow the steps below to do that.

Step 1: Open Google Maps on your browser.

Step 3: Then, click Your Donations.

Step 4: All the places you have visited recently will show up here. Just click on the place you want to review to get started.

Step 6: Then, click on the search bar and type the name of the place you want to rate.

Step 7: Select the place you want to review from the search results.

Step 1: Open the Google Maps mobile app.

How to limit reviews on Google Maps

If you don’t want others to see your reviews, you can also restrict them. While there’s no direct method, you can restrict your profile to prevent people from accessing and viewing your reviews. Follow the steps below to do so using your web browser and the Google Maps mobile app.

Note: Your followers can still access your reviews even if you have restricted your profile.

Using a web browser

Step 1: Open Google Maps on your web browser and click on the hamburger icon.

Step 2: Here, tap on your Contribution.

Step 3: Then, tap on Profile Settings.

Step 4: Turn off the ‘Show posts on your profile’ option.

This will restrict what is currently displayed on your profile.

Use the mobile app

Note: Marking reviews as Not Helpful will not report them. This will only limit the visibility of the review.
