How To Add Additional Clocks In Vista and Windows 7

If you are traveling around the world with your laptop, changing the time zone in your PC’s clock settings is one of the things you definitely want to do so that it reflects the correct time.

But wouldn’t it be better if the system clock had options to show more than one clock? It turns out that the system clock in Windows Vista and higher allows you to add up to 2 additional clocks.

That means you can now quickly compare different time zones by pointing your mouse at the time in the bottom right corner of the screen. This article gives you step-by-step instructions for adding those additional clocks.

Here are the steps involved.

Click the icon that shows the current time on the Windows toolbar at the bottom right and click change date and time settings.

Clock

go Additional watches navigation.

Date and time

You can select one or two additional clocks by checking the box next to “Show this clock”. Also select the required time zone from the drop-down menu. In the screenshot below, I choose the time zone for London and the East Coast in the US (GMT and GMT-05:00 for EST). Click ALRIGHT button.

Enter a display name. You can enter any name, but I recommend entering a country or city name to avoid confusion.

Date and time1

That’s it. Now when you hover over the icon that shows the current time, you’ll also see the current time in those two places (in this case, London and New York).

Time

Click on the time icon in the toolbar and you can see all three clocks showing the time of different zones.
