On the Google Maps mobile app
Step 1: Open the Google Maps mobile app.
Step 2: Here, go to the options menu and tap on Donate.
Step 3: Then, tap Add place.
Step 4: Enter the name of the place you want to add and tap Categories.
Step 5: Select the appropriate category from the list.
Tip: Use the search bar to find more categories or subcategories.
Step 6: Then, select a sub-category from this list.
Step 7: Now, add the location. You can also use the map to move the pin to the required location.
Step 8: If the location is in another location, add details for clarity.
Step 9: Click Add details to add opening hours, website, contact number, etc.

This will submit the form to Google. Once the location and related details have been verified by Google, it will appear on Google Maps.
How to edit places in Google Maps
Besides adding a location, you can also edit an existing location or business that may have changes in location, name, opening hours, etc., using a desktop or mobile device. This is the way:
On the Web
Step 1: Open Google Maps and click on the hamburger icon.
Step 2: Here, click ‘Edit Map’.
Step 3: Select Wrong information.
Step 4: From the map, click on the relevant location.
Step 5: Then, click on ‘Change name or other details’.
Step 6: Here, make the changes related to the location.
Step 7: Once done, click Submit.
