Upon completion from high school, Antetokounmpo enrolled at University of Dayton, where he continued in his sport. Initially, he was red-shirted in his game with the Flyers during the 2016-17 season as a “partial qualifier”, having played his first two years of high school basketball in Greece.

He was deemed qualified in the 2017-18 season. Antetokounmpo’s debut season saw him averaging 5.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.2 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game, in 15.1 minutes per game.

Antetokounmpo was declared for the 2018 NBA draft on March 22, 2018. he was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2nd round, 60th overall pick. He was immediately traded to the Dallas Mavericks where he spent two seasons splitting time between the Mavericks and its NBA G League affiliate, the Texas Legends.

On July 19, 2019, Antetokounmpo was waived by the Mavericks. Just three days later, Antetokounmpo was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Lakers on July 22, 2019 on a two-way contract.

He won the NBA championship with the Lakers a year later in 2020, becoming the first Greek-born player to achieve that feat before his older brothers Giannis and Thanasis did same with the Milwaukee Bucks one season later.

During the 2021-22 season, Antetokounmpo joined the French LNB Pro A and the EuroLeague, signing for ASVEL Villeurbanne. He played a total of 28 games that season where he averaged 5.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.7 blocks, playing around 13 minutes per contest.

On October 14, 2022, Antetokounmpo signed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls. He made no appearance for them at the NBA level before being waived by the Bulls on December 16, 2022.

Antetokounmpo signed with Fenerbahçe Beko of the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL) on December 19, 2022. In his 14 games in the league, he averaged 2.7 points and 0.8 rebounds, playing around 7 minutes per contest, before mutually parting ways with the club to join Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague.
