Every POI & gameplay change in new Warzone Urzikstan map

Warzone’s new Urzikstan map is bringing a huge amount to the table with the integration of Modern Warfare 3 in Season 1.

Not only will the Warzone community have a whole new landmass to explore and battle across, but Urzikstan will also be implementing a whole range of fresh gameplay changes.

These are going to completely transform the way Warzone plays, and the initial reaction from fans has been overwhelmingly positive.

So, let’s dive into everything you need to know about Warzone’s Urzikstan map and all the gameplay changes coming alongside it.

Urzikstan map layout in Warzone

For starters, here’s the layout of the Urzikstan map in Warzone courtesy of CharlieINTEL. As you can see, the location is covered in urban areas and plenty of buildings to secure power positions.

The lack of open space means there’s going to be plenty of enclosed gunfights where players are forced to take aggressive skirmishes. This is exciting, as it means gameplay on this map is going to be fast-paced and action-packed.

Familiarising yourself with the layout of Urzikstan is a brilliant way to give yourself the upper hand when it finally launches in Warzone, so study it carefully.

Horizontal & vertical ziplines on Urzikstan

One of the most important aspects of battle royale gameplay is the ability to rotate, and Urzikstan is providing players with the tools to do exactly that.

The map features horizontal ziplines that connect various buildings and POIs together, allowing you and your squad to seamlessly transition between areas. Of course, this comes at the risk of being beamed by an enemy, so use them at your own risk.

On top of that, there are now also Apex-style vertical ziplines that propel you into the air, giving you the chance to travel long distances

New Warzone Gulag & chance of night vision

The Gulag in the new Warzone is simplified 3 lane small map. But…there is a very small chance the Gulag you get into is NVG based, which happened here. pic.twitter.com/WutIGJrHYd

As you would expect, Urzikstan is bringing a new Gulag to the table and following countless requests from the community, it features an incredibly simple small three-lane map.

This replicates the feeling of the classic Gulag back in Verdansk and makes for a faster-paced 1v1 experience.
