With a plethora of guns to choose from, it can be quite tricky to figure out which weapon loadouts you should be using to best maximise your potential in XDefiant’s Preseason period.
While XCoins can make your guns look fantastic with all of the latest skins, ensuring that you’ve got the best attachments equipped will put you in pole position and help you stay on top of the leaderboard in-game.

#5: TAC-50
- Barrel: Lightweight
- Optic: CQBSS 8x
- Rear Grip: Quick Draw Grip
- Stock: Lightweight Stock
- Magazine: Quick Mag
If you’re looking for a Sniper Rifle then the TAC-50 is by far your best option, and this build offers both power and mobility to let you dominate the battlefield.
The Lightweight attachments in particular help keep you mobile and active, which is essential considering the relatively smaller scale of most maps. However, you’ll still be able to camp up and wait for enemies to pass into your crosshair, taking them out in one straightforward shot.
#4: MK 20 SSR

- Muzzle: Barrel Extender
The MK 20 SSR is an absolute demon in the right hands, and if you’re confident with your aim then it can really be one of the best weapons in the game.

All you need is a couple of shots to take down an enemy, and the attachments I’ve listed above will help you stay on target and ensure precision. I have sacrificed movement a little bit, but the increase in accuracy more than makes up for this.
While I’ve gone for the ACOG myself, you could switch that out for pretty much whatever optic feels most comfortable to you. Some might prefer the 1x options for more active playstyles, or a switch to the 3x if the ACOG is a little too magnified.

I can’t resist a good SMG, and the MP7 in XDefiant thankfully lives up to all expectations as the best high-speed weapon you can use in-game.
Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s all about those in-your-face fights though, as this build allows you to remain effective over medium range, making it perfect to use in all situations.
While it might not be as accurate as the assault rifles below, there’s something undeniable about the sheer DPS that the MP7 outputs that makes it hard to resist. Definitely give it a try if you haven’t already!
#2: M4A1

- Front Rail: Superlight
Some might be tired of the M4 constantly popping up and dominating in the latest FPS games, but the weapon is a bonafide classic for a reason.

It remains simply the most reliable option to pick, offering strong damage, excellent handling, and great mobility to excel in pretty much all areas – making it the perfect choice for all players.
The chosen attachments help continue the gun’s well-rounded profile too, offering boosts in all areas with a clean and user-friendly reflex sight to cap it all off. You’ll likely start off using the M4A1, but don’t be fooled into thinking it’s an introductory weapon.

Reigning as the king of weapons in XDefiant right now though is the ACR 6.8, and this particular loadout will ensure that you’re getting the most out of the gun’s strengths while minimising its weaknesses.
It excels at pretty much all ranges, making it perfect for any fight you find yourself in. Furthermore, while the recoil is tuned as much as I can make it, the movement and handling thankfully aren’t compromised too much, allowing you to stay on the go and difficult to hit.

All of the weapons in the game are fairly balanced right now, with only a few that appear confidently above the rest of the pack. Any weapon in either S or A Tiers will serve you very well if you’re using the right attachments, but even those in B Tier can be effective in the right hands.
