Jay Park (Korean name: Park Jae-beom (born April 25, 1987) is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and entrepreneur. He is a member of the Seattle-based b-boy crew Art of Movement (AOM), as well as the creator and former CEO of the independent hip hop record labels AOMG and H1ghr Music, as well as the founder of More Vision. Park went to South Korea in June 2010 to film Hype Nation, and in July secured a contract with SidusHQ, one of South Korea’s top talent agencies.

Unbeknownst to Park, the popularity of his audition would eventually lead to his being contacted and chosen by JYP Entertainment to be an idol in a Korean boy band. Park was brought to South Korea in January 2005 to get training in dancing, rapping, singing, and the Korean language under the tight supervision of JYPE.
