4 Best Apps to Transfer Files from Android to iPhone

If you’re an Android user, you’ll have at least one friend who owns an iPhone. Chances are you probably have Android for iPhone. As you interact with both devices, many times you will want to send files from your Android phone to your iPhone.

Usually, you’ll email them or upload to cloud services like Google Drive or Dropbox and then download it on your iPhone. However, you don’t need to follow such grueling techniques to be able to use file transfer apps.

Whether you want to share party pictures with friends, send videos to your siblings or audio files to colleagues, file transfer apps come in handy between Android and iPhone and vice versa.

Here you will find four such apps to transfer documents, videos, audios, photos, etc. Let’s explore them.

1. Fee v4

One of the simplest file transfer apps is Feem v4. It’s my top favorite app. It does not require internet. However, you need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network on Android and iPhone. Once connected, open the Feem app and you should see the weird device name listed there. Sadly, the names can be confusing. Although you can change it, this feature is limited to the pro version.

Just tap on the device where you want to share any file. Then select the file and it will appear on the second phone. The interface is like a chat application. That’s because it even lets you chat with other phones. The messages automatically disappear after 48 hours.

While Feem’s interface may look a bit different from other file sharing apps, I find it simple and uncomplicated. You can share all types of files like photos, videos, audios, etc using this app. Available on Windows and macOS alongside Android and iOS, Feem also has a web version.

Advantage:

  • Simple interface
  • Built-in chat
  • File transfer can continue

Defect:

  • Phone names can confuse you
  • Popup to upgrade display quite often

2. Xender

Another app that I like is Xender. It also comes with a simple, user-friendly interface. Unlike Feem, Xender displays all the files on the home screen of the application in different categories. You just need to tap the send and receive buttons to transfer files. Furthermore, you have a dedicated button for connecting to the iPhone.

It also does not require an internet connection. However, the phones must be on the same Wi-Fi network. You can share documents, audio, photos, videos, etc. With the built-in player, you can play received files right inside the app.

Fortunately, there are no ads or pro version to distract you. All features are available in one free app. It is also available on PC and has a web version.

Advantage:

  • No ads
  • Easy to use

3. SHARE

I’m pretty sure you must have heard its name. SHAREit is one of the popular file sharing apps available on Android and iPhone. SHAREit creates an access point network to transfer files without using your mobile data. Similar to Xender, you need to tap the Send and Receive buttons on their respective devices and then choose to connect to iPhone.

Again, you can transfer all types of files. It even allows you to search for files. After transferring all the files, you can play the media files in the built-in player. Other notable features include group sharing and area sharing. Luckily, you can also change both your name and avatar in the free version.

I am not a fan of this app now. That’s because it takes too many steps to transfer files. Also, it is loaded with ads.

Advantage:

  • Additional features like zone sharing and group sharing

Defect:

  • Too many ads

4. Zapya

Next in line is Zapya. It’s a combination of Xender and SHAREit. With the ability to transfer all types of files, Zapya offers many ways to connect to iPhone. You can shake to connect or use QR code. Similar to SHAREit, you also have group sharing feature.

To transfer files, just select them and hit the send button. If iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network, it will appear in available phones. Tap it and you will get the sent file immediately.

Special mention: Send Anywhere

Another app you should try is Send Anywhere. It works on both Android and iOS. Not only that, you can use it on any platform. It creates a link that you need to share with the recipient. The recipient simply opens the link to download the file being sent. Yes, it requires internet.

Easy file transfer

While the debate about which is better — Android or iOS will never stop, we’re glad app developers don’t discriminate. If they only create these apps for their preferred operating system, then we still have to use the old ways to transfer files between the two operating systems. Take a moment to be grateful for these apps.
