2 Ways to Boost Sound Level above the Maximum Mark in Windows

Without external speakers, most of us use media players like VLC or GOM on our computers just to take advantage of the sound enhancement of a video or song playing on Windows.

However, that option is limited to the file saved on our computer. What about the songs we stream on Spotify or the videos we play on YouTube?

Volume

Today we search most of the music or video that we play through streaming, we will show you two ways you can use the amp to increase the volume of the sound coming out on all all Windows programs (games, browsers, music players).

1. Enable Volume Equalization in Realtek Driver

This trick has been tested on Realtek drivers. Hopefully it will also work on other audio drivers but we can’t guarantee that. Also, before continuing, if you are using Realtek drivers, please update them to the latest version and restart your computer.

If you do not have the Realtek driver or have not updated the software if available, you can download the latest version from www.realtek.com/downloads.

Once done with that, open the Control Panel and click on Sound icon. Make sure you’re viewing settings in icon view and not in category view.

After you open Sound settingsright click Speakers and click Property option from the context menu.

In the Speaker properties, navigate to the Enhancements tab and select the option Volume balance. After enabling this option, you will notice that the sound will increase up to the maximum volume of the speaker and it will be around 150% when compared to the old output volume.

To reset the sound to system defaults, simply disable the option from properties and save the settings.

I understand that not all users can find the setting on their respective computers and that’s where you can use DFX Sound Enhancer in Microsoft Windows.

2. Use the DFX Sound Enhancer

DFX is a nifty application for Windows that boosts the sound quality on all the programs installed on your computer. This tool is a freeware with the option to expand the features by paying for a full license which is not cheap (almost $39.99). After you have installed the app, just turn it on and use the dynamic boost slider to increase your system volume.

In the free version you can only increase to level 5 (ie 150%) while in the paid version you can increase the volume up to 200%.

There are also other parameters that you can change the value of to enhance the sound coming out of your system. However, 3D audio is only available to advanced users. The site offers a timed sale in which you can purchase licenses at a discounted price.

My judgment

So here are two options by which you can increase the maximum volume of your computer. If the first option (Realtek) is available on your computer, I would prefer this option than using DFX Sound Enhancer.

When it comes to DFX, you should use the free version or you can buy a portable speakerphone at a premium price.
