Armored Core 6 fans will be desperate to know if the game supports crossplay or cross-platform progression when it releases later this year. Armored Core 6 is the latest game by FromSoftware and it sees the studio return to the franchise after leaving it dormant for over a decade.
Since the last Armored Core, FromSoftware has built a reputation for challenging role-playing games (RPG) and has basically invented a genre. However, this series will see them return to high-octane, fast-paced mech battles. When the last Armored Core was released features like crossplay or cross-platform progression didn’t exist, so there is no precedent set with the series. As such, we have no idea what to expect this time around.
As such, read below to find out more about whether or not Armored Core 6 supports both crossplay and cross-platform progression.

Currently, there is no word on whether or not Armored Core 6 will support crossplay between multiple platforms. In the last few years, the demand for crossplay has grown, so hopefully we will learn a bit more regarding this as we near release.
If we are to go off of FromSoftware’s previous games, the studio hasn’t used crossplay in the past, with Elden Ring omitting the feature.

Much like crossplay, very little is known about whether or not Armored Core 6 will support cross-platform progression. Once again, we can use previous titles as a guide for what to expect.
Elden Ring had cross-platform progression, but only if you were moving between the different generations of the same console. For example, you could move your PS4 save to your PS5, provided you used the same version of the game.
Armored Core 6 is also set to be released on the previous generation of consoles. As such, it would be safe to assume that cross-platform progression will likely be accessible if you’re only switching between different generations of the same brand of consoles.
