Born Marcus James Jordan on Devember 24, 1990 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He is the son of Michael Jordan and Juanita Vanoy. His father is a retired Hall of Fame basketball player who played 15 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Marcus has two siblings; an older brother Jeffrey and a younger sister Jasmine. From his father, he has two half-sisters Ysabel and Victoria. They were born on February 9, 2014 after he married Yvette Prieto in 2013.
Marcus attended Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois where he played basketball with his older brother Jeffrey. During their time, the duo helped the school to its conference championship, which was the best season in the school’s history.
He later took a transfer to Whitney Young Magnet High School in Chicago for his junior and senior seasons. In 2009, he led his school to the Illinois 4A Championship, managing a game-high 19 points in a 69–66 victory over Waukegan.

Marcus enrolled at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida after high school. He continued to play ball and during his freshman year, he scored 8.0 points per game before finishing with a total of 1152 points in his college career.
He left UCF basketball team in august 2012 but continued to take classes at the school, same move his older brother did at UCF January before him. Later, he graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management in 2013.
Unfortunately, Marcus did not pursue basketball at the professional level. In 2016, he opened a high-end sneaker boutique in the Disney Springs retail area of Disney World in Orlando, Florida named “Trophy Room”.
