Edward Sheeran and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, have one of Hollywood’s most endearing love stories.
They’ve known one other since they were toddlers and began dating shortly after reuniting in New York City in 2015.
Sheeran and Seaborn secretly married in January 2018 in a small ceremony attended by barely 40 people. Nearly two years later, the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Lyra Antarctica, and their second kid, Jupiter, in May 2022.

Cherry Seaborn and her husband, Sheeran have been friends for a long time, having met at Thomas Mills High School in Suffolk, England.
However, their relationship was never romantic throughout high school. Sheeran stated on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard that if they had dated back then, “it would have been a disaster.”
When Sheeran went on tour and Seaborn enrolled at Duke University in North Carolina, the two pals lost touch. However, the duo met in New York City in 2015 after a mutual acquaintance asked them both out.
When she was in college, Seaborn was a hockey superstar. She began her collegiate career at Durham University in the United Kingdom, where she led her team to the British University title in 2012 and 2013.
She continued to play hockey at Duke University while attending business school.

Sheeran and Seaborn enjoyed one of their first formal dates in Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island estate after reuniting in New York in 2015. They met there during one of Swift’s infamous Fourth of July parties.
“I went on tour again, and then I went to Taylor’s Fourth of July party,” Sheeran told PEOPLE in 2017. I was texting [Seaborn], and she said, ‘I’m in Rhode Island at a Fourth of July celebration,’ to which I replied, ‘So am I.’ ‘Can I invite one of my old schoolmates?’ I asked Taylor. The rest, as they say, is history.”
Swift and Seaborn have now created their own friendship, according to the “Shape of You” singer. “[She] and Taylor have hung out without me quite a few times; I think they have gal chats,” he went on to say. “I don’t know what they get up to, talking about cats or whatever.”
