Benjamin Bonzi is a French professional player born on June 9, 1996 in Nîmes, France. He is the only known child of his parents Phillipe Bonzi and Dominique Bonzi. He is 6 foot 1 inch tall and plays right-handed.
He began playing tennis at a young age. During his junior career, he won the 2014 French Open boys’ doubles title with partner Quentin Halys, defeating Lucas Miedler and Akira Santillan in the final in straight sets.
Bonzi turned professional in 2015 but it was not until 2017 when he made his Grand Slam debut and had his first win at the French Open. He joined as a wildcard entry, defeated Daniil Medvedev and lost to Albert Ramos Vinolas in the second round.

Bonzi made his first final in Pune, beating Tseng Chun-hsin, Emil Ruusuvuori, Filip Krajinović and Botic van de Zandschulp on his way there. He lost to Tallon Griekspoor in three sets in his maiden ATP Tour final.
