Although all starting weapons are adequate for taking out standard enemies, the Greatsword of Fate is the best for early-game Lies of P because of its higher damage and most importantly, defensive capabilities for the Parade Master boss fight.

Along with Absolute Defense being able to perfectly block an enemy’s attack Link Slash is a powerful but versatile move with less cost to initiate.
What’s more, with Parade Master’s slow speed after some attacks, utilising the Greatsword of Fate’s high Physical Attack stat with well-timed swings makes this the best early weapon in Lies of P by far.
